I don't recall seeing this asked before on here, but...
I have a reward night booked at a hotel next week. I am actually staying 2 nights there and paying for the first night (i'm gold). The first night I'm purchasing a suite but the second night i only redeemed for the room level below the suite level. When checking the system they now appear to be booked the second night I'm staying. My question is how do they handle to reservations back to back? Will I have to check out and check back in? Or will they let me keep my room and combine the two reservations even if one night is a reward? Last time I stayed at this property they upgraded my reward stay to a suite, they are pretty good about it. So my concern now is that they won't have any suites the second night so I wouldn't be able to keep my room even if they could upgrade me. Anyone else done back to back reservations and had a similar experience. This is at a HI&S if that matters.
