I just received an email from a Hilton GM telling me their hotel like all other hotels in the Hilton portfolio only give Diamond members basically a 1 category upgrades and this GM`s exact wording was "an upgrade to the next level or tier of what is booked." Then goes on to say upgrades depend on what you originally book. And emphasises many times the importance of the room that is booked as to what upgrade you receive.
Is this normal? I thought you were upgraded to "enhanced rooms" and it didn`t matter what you originally booked? Is this GM just mistaken or is this actually correct?
