I did a bunch of searches, but didn't see a thread for this property. I apologize if I've overlooked something...
Just arrived here today, after a few days in Halifax. According to the front desk clerk, the property is ~2 years old, yet it seems brand new. Hardwood-looking floors in lobby and elevator. Beautiful rock fixture with a light waterfall-type thing in the lobby (across from front desk), which separates the lobby from a very spacious breakfast area.
Was given the type of room I reserved, a 2-queen, with a rather reasonable rate, around $120/night (with the Hilton MVP). I'd suggest that if you even suspect you'll be staying here to reserve ASAP. I booked back in May, and the weekends were already filling. As it is, when looking at rates more recently, even weeknights were filling.
Hotel has 6 floors, which is rather high for a suburban-style property. I have a view of the bay (well when craning a bit), and the rear parking lot. Room seems especially large. There's a kitchenette just beside the door, with fridge, microwave, coffee, etc. Decent closet, tv, desk, sitting chair, nightstand, and the 2 beds. Bathroom seems a touch larger than normal too.
One nice thing that I wish more hotels would do, is both this and the Halifax property I stayed at, is put in the soft-close toilet seats. When I've priced them, I think it was maybe $5 more (we have them at home). If you run in during the night still half asleep, you won't necessarily wake up anyone else when the seat abruptly falls.
I'll follow-up more later, time permitting, with more info.
