Posting a review/thread for the Hampton Inn Atlanta-Buckhead. It is easily the worst Hampton in the country. Here's why:
1. In the early afternoon, after room was already made up, housekeeping walked in to my room without ever so a knock or an announcement. Just barged right in which 1. scared me as I had no idea who was entering my room; and 2. raised obvious privacy issues. Later that day, a man was standing outside my door in a quasi-Hampton uniform. He did not knock either but I opened the door as I heard him fidgeting with my key area. He said he was running the key since an iPad was stolen out of the room earlier.
2. After all that, I decide to get out of the hotel, so I go to my rental car in the underground parking lot. Shock again. There was a group smoking what smelled like marijuana in a van with the van running. I went back down to grab something from my car later and there are three new people smoking marijuana in their cars. You could openly see it being consumed.
3. I came back with my dinner and moved the futon foot cushion to find a sex toy, possibly used. That was a first for me and terribly unhygienic. It was beyond disgusting to find that on my floor and frankly, revolting.
We can add that the air con shuts off and on. This Hampton lacks safety, cleanliness and pretty much everything else you need for a hotel. I reached out to the front desk for help but was rebuffed, I tried Hampton on Twitter, who promised a fast response, which then became maybe by Tuesday. And I tried the GM, also no response.
