Hi all,
I'm planning a trip to Mauritius in August and I'm trying to decide what to do. The Hilton Flic en Flac is currently on sale for what seems to be a reasonable price of 134 Euros.
I've previously used my points for AXON awards at the Conrad Tokyo and Hong Kong, so it seems something of a waste to spend these points on a cheap room.
My questions:
1. Do you think this is a property that is worthy of its category 7 rating? Tripadvisor reviews seem all over the map.
2. I understand that the restaurant is very expensive. Are there walkable places nearby that are much cheaper?
3. Would you save your points for a more aspirational destination, bite the bullet and spend the money, or find somewhere cheaper to stay? (tough question to answer, I know!)
Cheers.
