Quick question: I was planning on looking for Award Redemptions at some of the Hiltons in Times Square for next New Years on 1/1/13 in hopes of getting a good deal before they were all snatched up. I completely forgot and only looked today, and a large portion of the ones in the area I would want to stay are already booked, as I would have imagined. It turns out that I ended up using a big chunk of my points for another trip, but I will try to do the same thing again next January 1st for New Years 2015. What I'm wondering is how quick these awards on usually snatched up when they become available? Are we talking minutes, hours, or a couple days? Obviously these are in such high demand that there have to be a bunch of people looking to redeem as soon as they pop up. Any insight would be appreciated.
