use Amex or HH points for stay?

Hi all. I need a one nights stay in Orlando and have a little over 40K HH points and about the same AMEX points. If I go through Hilton the points are 40K for the one night. Amex varies by hotel.

I guess what I'm asking is which points are worth more? I know AMEX points don't expire and I *think* that HH does?

What else could I use my HH points for? I'm thinking I'm better off using the HH points.
