premium room definition

I am trying to find out what a premium room definition is. I booked online a premium room. Before booking, I called the hotel directly and asked what the premium room was. The clerk on the phone told me it was their larger room. Booked it. I realized two nights before check in that the picture of my booked room (picture was the size a little larger than a postage stamp) that it looked like a standard room. I called the hotel, yes it was the size of the standard room, and because the hotel was full nothing could be done. I was moved to executive level and assured it was not a standard size room. Arrived and sure enought it might have been on the executive floor, it still was the size of a standard room. So did I pay for a standard room to start with?

I was very dissapointed as this was to be a special weekend getaway and I would not have paid the price I paid for this room.
