We are going to Dublin for our wedding anniversary (almost 4 decades!) - just one night. Flights booked with BA out of LCY.
Been looking at staying with a Hilton property (hubby Hilton gold expires March next year so want to make the most of it). Trying to decide between two:
1. Double Tree (formerly Morrisson) cost 270 or 50K HH points for the night. Rated 7/175 on TA.
2. Conrad cost 210 or 50K HH points (or 65 + 20K HH points) for the night. Rated 20/175 on TA.
Please help me to decide which one to book :p.
I read here that both will offer complementary buffet breakfasts to gold HH, and neither has EL. However, both have mixed reviews on flyertalk - I guess the experience can be different depending on services received and the quality of the room? Prefer to do with HH points, instead of cash (seem to be expensive). Also, would like a convenient location to airport bus, smoke free, good water pressures for showers, comfortable bed! If we get a room upgrade, it would be nice but not necessary as we will only be there one night and spend most of the time sightseeing.
Thank you!
