Doubletree Dana point California

I stayed here for the first time last week... I had a horrible experience from check-in and being told even to I'm gold, if I want a Hot breakfast it's an additional $5, to the my preferences as far as room location being Ignored resulting in my having to hike a mile to my room, to the ac in the room not working, to the room having huge spider webs in the corners....


Is this normal here or was it just a fluke.....
